PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk will launch the 'silicon valley' digital area project in Cikarang, Bekasi. It is planned that the initial stage of development will be launched at the end of this month. "On the 29th of this month it will be launched like this but there is already a specific product, near President University," said Main Director of Jababeka Infrastruktur, Tjahjadi Rahardja, at the 'Road to Jababeka Silicon Valley' press conference, Thursday (21/7/2022). Tjahjadi could not describe the specifics of this initial stage of development. However, he said that the development could take the form of a research center, a technology school, and a business district for technology companies. "Yes, the company is not a factory, but like a research center, a university, a school," he said. Managing Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur Agung Wicaksono said this area will gather many startup companies, human capital talent that meets industry. So that the digital ecosystem can be built more quickly, it doesn't have to be built from scratch. Currently Jababeka has also signed a collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency, PT Bisa Artificial Indonesia and Indogen Capital, Thursday (21/7/2022). The aim is to support the development of this area starting from human resources to forming a digital ecosystem for startups. "This collaboration is to build the foundation of the Silicon Valley Jababeka area which will be launched at the end of the month," said Agung. Agung explained that Silicon Valley Jababeka stands on 60 hectares, out of Jababeka's total land area of 5,600 hectares. With the target of attracting hi-tech and start-up companies that can complement the business ecosystem in Jababeka. "So Jababeka is not just a city, not just an industrial area. This is a city, there is industry, there is residential, there is commercial too. There is hospitality and leisure too. So the talent that will encourage the birth of startups can feel like they live in one city," he explained. .
