Five National Projects will be Built in Karawang
The Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) of Karawang Regency, West Java, stated that five national strategic projects will be built in the Karawang area over the next few years. "For the sake of this project, Karawang must prepare space," said the Head of the local Bappeda, Eka Sanatha, on the sidelines of the Seminar on the Results of the Review and Revision of the Karawang RTRW Regional Regulation, in Karawang, Thursday (28/12/2017). Efforts to prepare this space are by revising the Regional Regulations (Perda) concerning Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for 2011-2031. The Karawang Regency Government will carry out the revision. He said that the five national strategic projects that will be built in Karawang are the plan to build the Karawang International Airport and the Fast Train Transit Station. Other projects are the construction of the Cikampek II Jatiasih-Sadang-Purwakarta Toll Road, Cilamaya Penampung Port, and the Steam Gas Power Plant (PLTGU). Eka said, regarding the revision of the Karawang RTRW Regional Regulation, this would be carried out after the West Java Province RTRW Regional Regulation was ratified. Because the Karawang RTRW Regional Regulation must still be adjusted to the policies of the West Java Provincial Government and the central government. According to him, for the purposes of airport construction, the Karawang Regency Government is preparing space in the Ciampel District area with an area of thousands of hectares. The land is a production forest area. Therefore, an "exchange" will be carried out with other land that can be used as replacement forest. The Karawang Regency Government is proposing replacement land around the banks of the Citarum and Cibeet Rivers.(ant) Source: https://infopublik.id/kategori/sorot-ekonomi-bisnis/413052/index.html
